2022 performance dining

We want to explore and re-contextualise the ritualistic aspects of sharing a meal together and celebrate those aspects over the course of four evenings with invited artists, chefs and the Wiener Festwochen audiences. By combining meticulously curated dishes, drinks, performances and installations, we’ll create bootleg dining experiences that focus on dedicated service, artistic collaboration and, not least, creative food. Together, we’ll endeavour to be an antidote to an all-too-rigid hospitality sector which, for all its good intentions, constrains the unpredictable nature of a culinary feast with all manner of rules and routines. RAW is an invitation to enjoy a discovery and a surprise for all the senses. We believe that no meal is sacred and that a shared dining experience can be a ‘perfect battleground’ for promoting important ideas. We’re keen to appeal not just to the senses of taste and smell, but to all the other senses, too, to make RAW a performative experience in the broader sense of the term.
