Info
Laia Fabre, born in Barcelona, is a multidisciplinary artist currently residing in Vienna. She completed her studies at the BAU Art & Design University in Barcelona and under the guidance of Dorit Margreiter at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Fabre works across various mediums, including performance, video, choreography, drawing, and painting. Her diverse artistic practice exudes an uninhibited, spontaneous, and energetic spirit, while also laying bare the habits and stereotypes of her environment. Her work is characterized by irony, boldness, and a humorous discourse that often utilizes the mundane as its primary backdrop. In her works, the message takes precedence over technique, with the overarching goal of highlighting and addressing the problems and contradictions in our world.
